Raspberry-Infused Sun Tea

Have you noticed how popular passion fruit and other fruit-infused iced teas have become? We see them everywhere now. Well, you can most certainly do this at home. We chose the raspberry ,because of all fruits, it bears one of the strongest flavors. You don't need much to infuse a couple quarts of iced tea. Here's how...

  • Prep Time: 3 mins
  • Cook Time: 0 mins
  • Servings: 8 glasses

Ingredients

  • 2 quart(s) drinking water
  • 3 white tea bags (I like Uncle Lee's Tea)
  • 8 or so raspberries
  • a bit of cheescloth and twine
  • a 2-qt. glass pitcher

Tips and Suggestions

Try this with blackberries and green tea or with assorted passion fruits.

Instructions

Fill your pitcher with water and add the tea bags. Cut about a 5" X 5" piece of cheesecloth and a short piece of twine. Rinse your raspberries and place them in the cheesecloth. Tie it closed and place in the pitcher. Leave out in the full sun for about 4 hours.

As you pull the cheesecloth with raspberries out of the pitcher, squeeze some of the moisture from the raspberry- filled cheesecloth and then discard.

Add your favorite sweetener or enjoy it as is.
